Sighthounds Online is a registered charity that aims to offer a lifeline to sighthounds in need.

We came into being on the 21st of July 2004 when a website and forum were set up where like minded individuals could come together and raise funds to help out sighthounds in need, share information and experience of sighthounds, and to raise awareness of the plight of racing greyhounds and other sighthounds.

We soon realized that there were a great many people out there wanting to help us do this, and as our member numbers grew the forums and website became larger and covered more topics. It became clear that there were limitations to being a private organisation involved in fund raising and so on May 21st 2005 we became a registered charity, number 1109577.

We are all volunteers and rely solely on the generosity of our wonderful members to support us by taking part in our online fundraisers and offer their ideas and skills.
